Visa

What can you tell about the visa protocol?

All foreigners visiting Russia need to have a valid Russian visa. Visa is a special document that grants you a permit to enter and to leave the Russian Federation during a specified period of time. Children apply for separate visas if they travel on their own passports.

Where do I get a visa?

To apply for a Russian visa, you will need to submit certain documents at the Russian consulate. Usually the documents include your original passport, 1-2 passport photos, 1-2 Russian visa application forms, an HIV test if you are applying for a business visa (tourist visa applications do not require this) and of course, the visa invitation, so called voucher. Although it is possible to arrange your own Russian visa, most travelers choose to turn to professional service to do the work.  Since Russian visa also involves getting a Russian invitation, you are recommended to use agencies that can provide such services.

Can you suggest any agencies to whom I could turn to?

We are happy to recommend you Russian Tours Lahialuematkat.

I have heard that foreigners are obligated to register upon arrival, what is this about?

According to Russian immigration legislation, all foreigners staying in Russia for more than 3 working days, must have their Russian visas registered for the entire period of their stay. The registration fee is included in the price and Forenom will perfom the registration.
